Apple Intelligence: Apple's AI arrives on iPhone

At WWDC 2025, Apple demonstrated its newest artificial intelligence platform, called Apple Intelligence. The system promises to transform the user experience by integrating generative AI capabilities directly into the operating system.

Integration with Siri and native apps

The novelty allows Siri to perform more complex tasks, such as summarizing emails, creating personalized playlists, and answering questions based on user context. Apple Intelligence will also work within native apps like Photos, Messages, and Notes, offering intelligent suggestions and image editing via text description.

Image and text generation

Users will be able to generate images from descriptions or styles, as well as write texts and summarize documents. Apple emphasized that data privacy is at the core of development, with on-device processing whenever possible.

Partnership with OpenAI and ChatGPT

Apple surprised by confirming a partnership with OpenAI, making ChatGPT available in the Apple ecosystem. The integration will allow users to access the chatbot directly through Siri or a new dedicated app. Apple stated that the partnership respects the company's privacy standards.

Availability

Apple Intelligence will be available on iPhones and iPads with A17 chip or higher, as well as Macs with Apple Silicon. The beta version will be launched later in 2025, with a global release expected in early 2026.

With Apple Intelligence, the Cupertino company finally enters the AI race, combining the closed ecosystem with cutting-edge technologies.
